Hello World! The text output of my C programming language compiler reads, “My abacus hobby consists of a 30 day old 15-digit Soroban as Cranmer abacus, a 20 day old 7-digit modified Suanpan, a 5 day-old 7-digit hanging Suanpan and a 0 day-old unmodified 7-digit Suanpan.” ☺️
Today, I received my 4th abacus or 3rd Suanpan or a duplicate of my 2nd abacus or 1st Suanpan, but I’m keeping this one as “unmodified”, allowing slippery beads, for use by persons with eyesight.
Yes, I wrote a computer program in the C programming language to keep track of when I purchased each abacus! ☺️ That means, I’m not planning on doing any specific arithmetic on either of them, as I can simply solve math just by writing code.
My abacus hobby is actually my science project, in testing my cognition & dexterity skills with the handicaps of arthritis & vision impairment. My 4th abacus is already difficult for me, but I can do my best in setting the beads while attempting to move others by mistake.
Thanks for reading my latest blog post about my abacus hobby! Have a Great Day!
