My NEW Apple iPhone 12 mini is now 3 days old, yet was released in the Philippines 1.15 years ago. It was freshly-updated to iOS 15.3.1 1 days ago. It originally had iOS 14.1, yet I had it updated to iOS 15.3 3 days ago, prior to restoring from iCloud 2 days ago. My iPhone 12 mini replaces my iPhone 6S Plus. ☺️
Hello World! As a totally BLIND iOS End User of my new Apple iPhone 12 mini smartphone, I decided to download my preferred Voiceover screenreader voices and the voices I’ve previously purchased within the Voice Dream Reader iOS app, previously using my old iPhone 6S Plus. I figured today is a good day, as I did mostly administrative duties yesterday.
After realizing my iPhone 12 mini has plenty of space, compared to my old iPhone 6S Plus, I decided to download ALL US & UK voices, mostly because, here in The Philippines, the internet frequently & randomly vanishes without any prior warning. These Voiceover screenreader voices are the voices I hear when manipulating my iPhone. I’ve realized many Voiceover voices have improved performance, compared to my old iPhone 6S Plus. Whereas all Voiceover voices now sound GREAT in my BOSE QuietComfort 35 II headphones, the sound quality is not always as great with the iPhone 12 mini’s on-board speakers. Having the Voiceover voices pre-downloaded allows me to quickly change voices without waiting for downloading to complete. ☺️
Next, I opened my purchased Voice Dream Reader iOS app, and downloaded all the voices I had previously purchased using my old iPhone 6S Plus, mostly because my new iPhone 12 mini has plenty of memory to contain all of my voice purchases. This allows me to make any eBook, document or web page into an audiobook with the voice I choose, unlike a prerecorded file with a voice I cannot change. The pause button of my BOSE QuietComfort 35 II accurately toggles the play/pause function of Voice Dream Reader, allowing me to hear my eBooks the same way I listen to music.
And then, I have a better sounding device! ☺️
Thanks for reading my latest blog post! Have a Great Day!
