Memories!: My Former Digital Graphics Artist Skill

Hello World! Prior to my blindness, I was a successful digital graphics artist! I really miss those artistic skills I once had.

Nowadays, I’ve been totally BLIND for 50 months now, and I was just remembering my past skill of developing digital artwork. Unfortunately, due to complete loss of my eyesight, I will never be able to make the same artwork I once made with my hands and perfect eyesight! 😔

For those that want to know what digital graphics artwork I had done before I became totally BLIND, please visit My DeviantArt Profile, which has 497 pieces of my artwork. I did these artwork designs months BEFORE I lost my eyesight, so I don’t know how accessible they are to screenreader users, besides reading the text I previously wrote.

UPDATE (March 3, 2022): Thanks to my wife’s sighted nephew, I’m back into my DeviantArt account! ☺️ However, none of my artworks are accessible with iOS Voiceover screenreader, yet my wife says there are images on my screen. I’m unable to modify my DeviantArt profile’s BIO page! However, I’ve noticed many people have greeted me for my birthday AFTER I became blind. I also received at least one Halloween greeting! ☺️ My last digital artwork upload was in August 2017, before enduring severe terrorism from corrupted/dysfunctional local government unit (LGU) which lead to my complete loss of my eyesight. I am able to post text-based articles in my DeviantArt profile! ☺️

In my DeviantArt profile, I explained the digital graphics artwork development tools I had mastered before I completely lost my eyesight.

If there is a way I can go back to make digital graphic artwork again without requiring expensive eye surgery, then please let me know in comments below. Thanks in advance!

Former speech synthesis systems developer of 30 wonderful years, specializing in foreign language phoneme-to-speech synthesis. Also was a beta tester of third-party software-based speech synthesizers. Former FCC-licensed amateur radio operator of 20 wonderful years, beginning with 2m packet-radio & AmSat communications between Anchorage & Manila. Former member of Anchorage Amateur Radio Club and Mike & Key ARC in Seattle. Learned 10-finger QWERTY touch-typing on a manual typewriter in 1980 at a US-based elementary school. Mastered 10-finger QWERTY touch-typing without looking at the keyboard in 1986. Now have osteoarthritis in both of my hands from all that touch-typing! My primary computer programming language is C, which I learned in 1990. My secondary programming language is B.A.S.I.C., which I self-learned in 1982. Prior to my sight-loss, I used to program in LISP/CLISP and Prolog for my early development of artificial intelligence & machine learning programs. Daily, to compensate/facilitate my sight-loss, I am actively using Apple iOS VoiceOver, Google Android TalkBack and Amazon Fire OS VoiceView screen-readers, in addition to my external Bluetooth QWERTY keyboard and sometimes, my Orbit Writer Braille keyboard, as HOBBIES.
