Noise-Cancelling Technology: The REASON for my BOSE QuietComfort 35 Series II headphones!

My 20.86 week old BOSE QuietComfort 35 Series II headphones was assembled in Thailand 1.28 years ago, yet was officially released approximately 4.53 years ago, 12.85 weeks before I became completely BLIND. It’s limited warranty expires in 31.29 weeks from now.

Hello World! While experiencing politically-sponsored noise torture in The Philippines, I required corded stereo headphones with the best noise-cancelling technology available, and that’s still my basic requirement. As I discovered (the hard way), complaining to the local authorities merely increases the noise pollution, NOT decrease it; my blindness is the result of surviving four consecutive years of noise torture. So, when animal noise pollution became the next style of noise torture against me, visiting the nearest BOSE corporate retail store became the only remaining option!

While most other people purchase their stereo headphones based on how their music sounds, because I’m totally BLIND, my choice is comprehension & cognition of spoken words without being distracted by noise pollution outside my peaceful home. In addition, because I’m a “Generation X” human, I prefer CORDED or wired stereo headphones with 3.5mm stereo audio plug, instead of being dependent on a battery in the case of Bluetooth technology. — Since I’ve been experiencing noise torture against me since November 2012, I have been investing into commercial white noise generators.

Though costing me approximately ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ$450 from my disability income, my BOSE QuietComfort 35 Series II headphones became the SOLUTION I have been searching for! The day I made the purchase, I had experienced over two dozen anxiety/panic attacks in 45 days of excessively LOUD animal noise pollution from neighbor’s pet dog physically-located approximately 10ft from my ears in my bedroom, or at my “man cave”. When I initially-heard BOSE’s world-class noise-cancelling technology in action, at the BOSE corporate store, I immediately knew the QC35 II headphones is my SOLUTION to noise torture against me! โ˜บ๏ธ

As a new daily standard, due to endless animal noise pollution, I am regularly using the 2.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable with my BOSE QuietComfort 35 Series II headphones! โ˜บ๏ธ When the neighbor’s pet dog begins barking, often LOUD to excessively LOUD, I just toggle the slide switch to activate the acoustic noise-cancelling technology and continue on with my tasks. Every several minutes, when acoustic noise-cancelling technology is active, I momentarily lift one of the earmuffs to hear if neighbor’s pet dog is still barking, and if I don’t hear barking noises, I toggle the slide switch to the OFF position to save battery power. The QC35 II internal battery is specified to last up to 40 hours from a full-charge when using acoustic noise-cancelling technology with the audio cable. โ˜บ๏ธ

As a side-note, I require over-the-ear headphones because my ears, mostly my right ear, produces too much earwax, in addition to hair growth in ear canals. The earwax in my right ear had already clogged the right-side earbud of the corded earbuds that came with my former iPhone after 30 months of daily use. Unfortunately, corded/wired over-the-ears stereo headphones rarely exist (in The Philippines) in favor of battery-dependent Bluetooth technology.

Before I purchased the BOSE QuietComfort 35 Series II headphones, I inquired about avionics headsets, as to what airline pilots wear, and the BOSE corporate store told me they only sell consumer-grade products. — Heck, I wish to have the stereo headsets that airport ground crew wear when working nearby commercial airplanes! โ˜บ๏ธ
