I’m Now Enjoying Plant-based Meats on a Daily Basis! ☺️

Hello World! For my own health improvement and have adapted to hybrid-vegetarianism over the age of 50 years old, I’m now enjoying plant-based meats on a daily basis! ☺️

For me to quickly adapt to hybrid-vegetarianism with daily-intake of plant-based meats, I am just taking advantage of at least two disabilities of mine: blindness and hypotension (abnormally-low blood pressure).

The term, hybrid-vegetarianism, is a term I invented myself without checking the reality of the term, itself. Though, nowadays, my daily-intake of chicken, pork and beef products are minimal, I’m experimenting on consuming plant-based alternatives, exclusively for my own health improvement. — As a lifelong scientist, I have many scientific theories that could assist on the recovery of my eyesight, which was lost after surviving four years of domestic terrorism (high stress).

Because I’m a totally BLIND “foreigner” in The Philippines, my half-sighted wife & her low-vision sister not only obtains my food from the local grocery stores and/or food delivery service, they also prepare my food when necessary. Since I have past restaurant experience in the USA, I also control on how my food is to be cooked, depending on availability of supplies and equipment. ☺️

For breakfast, I enjoy consuming two vegan beef patties with dairy-cheese and regular bred/bun, sometimes with bacon; in other words, two cheeseburgers WITHOUT the beef! ☺️

After breakfast, I typically enjoy eating dry-roasted peanuts. Unfortunately, unsalted peanuts don’t exist in the Philippines, so I try eating the ones with as little salt as possible. Also unfortunately, it’s very difficult to obtain dry-roasted peanuts without monosodium glutamate (MSG), so I will just drink more of my favorite beverage.

Then, for lunch, I enjoy eating vegan meatballs, or vegan sausage or vegan chicken nuggets or vegan burger patties (again) with additional condiments, such as bread/bun or dairy-cheese. Alternatively, I do eat Pizza Hut pizza (Super Supreme or Veggie Lover’s), but I’m insisting on home-cooked plant-based meats, instead. ☺️

My drink or beverage of choice, is cold, freshly-brewed, unsweetened green tea with ginger root, and I typically consume an average of 5l per day, but have consumed up to 8l in a single day. ☺️

Being a Filipino-American whom was born in Boston that grew up mostly in Seattle, some in Chicago, I was a beef-eater, whom preferred Burger King or Wendy’s over McDonald’s. At one time, in Seattle, Herfy’s was my favorite burger restaurant. I was also a fan of A&W burger restaurant, and my last dining experience was in Bangkok in 2016. When I got married in the Philippines, I was consuming four double-cheeseburgers from McDonald’s per meal. All of my beef burgers, from 1977 to last year, 2021, had to be “plain” or without any toppings. — Don’t ask me about my past-addiction to consuming porterhouse & T-bone steaks! ☺️

Nowadays, I do miss consuming Wendy’s Baconators or Burger King Whoppers, but I don’t miss the constipation that often accompanied them! ☺️

In summary, my experiments with vegetarianism and veganism, are merely my research into food science, learning how certain foods, specifically plant-based foods interact with my human body. My optimum goal is to SEE, again! ☺️
